Conception Bay South LEO Club

Hey everyone!

Some of you may know me, but some of you may not. I’ve been a LEO since September 2007, and I dedicated alot of time into the LEO Club Website Project. I havn’t been to the meetings in awhile, but I am still a proud LEO, serving the community from the sidelines. I’ve been working on the website over the past few days, revamping it and reconstructing it. A new design is up and soon enough all the pages will be updated. I hope you enjoy the new, much needed changes!

Thanks to Natasha White and her mom and dad, there is some time available to sell tickets at Sobeys and Dominion, today, Monday, and Tuesday, 3-7. Please call Natasha for details – 834-2907. You will have to bring your own money, pens, etc. I will be out of town until Tuesday, May 19. However, you can reach me through email.

To Holy Spirit Leos – your tickets and other information are at the school office.

The Conception Bay South Leo Club Charter Night will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009, 7:30 PM, at the Lions Den, 10 Mineral’s Road, CBS (next to the swimming pool).

You and two (2) parents/guests are invited to attend. There will be a hot meal (Chicken) served, at a cost of $10.00 each.

Please return the form, with payment, at the meeting on May 24.

Congratulations for wanting to make a difference to your community!

1. There will not be a meeting on Sunday, May 10 (Mother’s Day). The next meeting will be on Sunday, May 24, 7:00 PM.

2. Nominations for President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Director of Membership, Director of Public Relations, and Director of Projects will be taken until May 24. If you are interested in running for one of these positions, please let me know. We do have Leos already nominated, but since our last meeting was attended by only a few Leos, the nomination period has been extended.

3. Charter Night is on Saturday, May 30, 7:30 PM at the Lions Club.

4. We are selling tickets on an iPod Touch (the Laptop idea didn’t work). It would be appreciated if you could sell the 20 tickets to family/friends/neighbours. I will contact you by email if I can arrange a place for you to sell the tickets (Home Hardware? Sobeys?)

This is such short notice! I just received the information last night.
There is a Volunteer Appreciation Function taking place TONIGHT, April 23, at Worsley Park. Door open at 7:00 PM and it starts at 7:30. Any three of you may attend.

The meeting scheduled for Sunday, March 22, has been postponed until Sunday, March 29, at 7:00 PM. All details on the Convention will be available then. See you on the 29th!

The Meeting scheduled for Sunday, March 8, is cancelled. The next scheduled meeting is Sunday, March 22, 2009, 7:00 PM.

Our regular meeting on Sunday, November 9, has been cancelled. The Scouts have asked for the use of the building during that time. Our next meeting will be on Sunday, November 23, 7:00 PM. See you then!

We are having a meeting on this Sunday, October 5, 7:00 PM at the Lions Club. Please try to attend, as we will be planning our Wake-a-thon.

Just a reminder…
The CBS Lions Club Highway Clean-Up is scheduled tomorrow morning (weather permitting), 9:00 AM at the Lions Den (next to the swimming pool). Vests and garbage bags are provided. Please bring your own gloves.
